Elections 2022: Akhilesh Yadav unveiled the Samajwadi Party’s electoral manifesto for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh elections in 2022 on Tuesday. The SP’s manifesto is titled ‘Samajwadi Vachan Patra.’ In its platform, the Akhilesh-led SP vowed to waive off farmer loans in four years and to grant Rs.25 lakh each to families who lost loved ones during farm laws protest.
The opposition party also promised an ‘Urban Employment Guarantee Act’ on the lines of MNREGA if voted to power.
List of SP manifesto promises for the UP elections in 2022:

1 lakh crore for rural economic development

If SP is elected, Farms Corpus Fund will be established; a minimum support price will be granted for all crops, and sugarcane growers would be paid within 15 days.

300 units of electricity will be provided free of cost to every household

Samajwadi Party canteens will be built around the state, with meals available for Rs.10 per person.

Kisan Bazar is expected to expand.

Farmer memorial in the memory of ‘martyred farmers’ during farmers’ protest

Small and marginal farmers with less than two acres of land will receive two bags of DAP, five bags of urea, an interest-free loan, irrigation electricity, insurance, and pension.

‘Samajwadi grocery stores’ for poor workers, masons and homeless to get ration and other necessities at subsidized rates

Each BPL family would receive two free LPG cylinders every year

Free education for girls in government educational schools and institutions from Class KG to PG courses

The owner of two-wheelers will get 1 lire free petrol every month

Auto rickshaw owners to get 6 liters of petrol and 3 kg CNG free every month
